Filmed by all-women crews, these short portraits reveal untold stories of local activists and artists who preserve 51ĀŅĀ×»»ĘŽā€˜i's history and culture through film. / Vera Zambonelli, executive director of 51ĀŅĀ×»»ĘŽā€˜i Women in Filmmaking, and lecturer at the Academy for Creative Media UH West Oā€˜ahu; co-producer of the series and director of 4 portraits. / Shirley Thompson, a passionate storyteller and a seasoned documentary producer, writer, and editor; co-producer of the series and director of 4 portraits. / Meleanna Aluli Meyer, visual artist and filmmaker known for her documentaries which focus on building pride, understanding, and support for 51ĀŅĀ×»»ĘŽian families and culture. / Joy Chong-Stannard, live television and documentary director whose career spans 40 years in public television.
