New Perspectives on Muromachi Poetry

August 28, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Hamilton Library Room 306

The workshop will showcase a recent addition to the UHM Japan Special Collection: the holograph manuscript of an early 16th-century poetry collection. This "Thirty-Poem Sequence" is the work of Asukai Yoritaka, a renowned medieval poet celebrated for his exquisite calligraphy. Join us to delve into this remarkable piece of literary history. The event is sponsored by EALL, the Center for Japanese Studies, and the Hamilton Library.
